Neuroscience revision of "The pathogenic role of delta 2 tubulin in bortezomib-induced peripheral neuropathy", Authors: Maria Elena Pero, Cristina Meregalli, Xiaoyi Qu, Grace Ji-eun Shin, Atul Kumar, Matthew Shorey , Melissa M. Rolls, Kurenai Tanji, Thomas H. Brannagan, Paola Alberti, Giulia Fumagalli, Laura Monza, Wesley B. Grueber, Guido Cavaletti and Francesca Bartolini, published on January 19, 2021; 10.1073/pnas.2012685118 (Proc . Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 118, e2012685118).

The author points out that on page 2, left column, first complete paragraph, line 9, citations to references. 3 and reference. 41 is incorrect, so it should be deleted.

The author also pointed out that Figure 5 is wrong. In Panel A, the one-letter symbol for glutamic acid is incorrectly displayed as "G", but should be displayed as "E". The corrected figure and its legend are shown below. The online version has been corrected.

D2 accumulation is sufficient to drive Bort-induced axonal disease. (A) Schematic diagram of the enzymes involved in the production of D2. (B) Western blot analysis of TTL, D2, and tyrosinated tubulin levels in adult dorsal root ganglion neurons (12 DIV). Lentiviral shRNA delivery (5 DIV) inhibits TTL expression. (C) Representative IF image of neurofilament staining in DRG neurons (12 DIV) that silenced TTL expression for 7 days after delivery of lentiviral shRNA. (D) Axonal degeneration in DRG neurons as processed in C. The data is aggregated from 4 to 5 experiments (6 to 16 fields per condition for each experiment). (E) D2 and α-tubulin in adult DRG neurons (12 DIV) expressing D2-(pLVX-EGFP-D2) or WT α-tubulin (pLVX-EGFP-α-tub) (5 DIV) Western blot analysis of (DM1A) levels). GAPDH, load control. (F) The stained neurofilament in DRG neurons (12 DIV) transduced with lentivirus expressing D2-(pLVX-EGFP-D2) or WT α-tubulin (pLVX-EGFP-α-tub) for 7 days Representative IF image. (G) Axonal degeneration in DRG neurons as processed in F. All data in D and G are shown as the median plus the interquartile range of 4 to 6 experiments (4 to 17 fields of view per condition for each experiment). Statistical significance was analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test. GAPDH, load control. shNC, shRNA non-coding control. * P <0.05, ** P <0.01. Scale bars in C and F, 50 μm.
